QT’s Early Learning Centre is a community-based childcare centre operated by Q.I.T.E. in Mareeba. Opened in September 2009, we provide quality day care for up to 70 children per day, from 6 weeks to 5 years of age.

Our purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility offers a vibrant, nurturing environment where children are encouraged to explore, play, and learn at their own pace. All wipes and sun cream are provided, and our qualified team is here to support every child and their family.

We believe that raising a child is a shared responsibility — one that involves family, educators, and the wider community. At QT’s, children are viewed as a blessing to the whole community, and every person who walks through our doors plays a role in their development.

We acknowledge parents, guardians, and carers as having the primary responsibility for their children’s upbringing, protection, and development. Our role is to support families through respectful partnerships and open, honest communication.

As dedicated early childhood professionals, we believe children are unique individuals who learn and develop through exploration and play at their own pace. We value each experience and place importance on the learning process — not just the outcome. Our programs support children’s physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development through structured play, exploration, and group participation.

QT’s Early Learning Centre is proudly operated by Q.I.T.E., Quality Impact Through Employment, a not-for-profit community organisation that has been investing in North Queensland for nearly 40 years. The centre is one of the many ways Q.I.T.E. reinvests in the communities it serves, supporting families and contributing to the wellbeing of the next generation.
