Q.I.T.E. is bound by and committed to supporting, the National Privacy Principles. Q.I.T.E.’s objective is to fully support the NPP’s ensuring that all daily practices within the organisation comply with the Privacy Act and seek to strengthen the privacy protection for all customers both internal and external.
This statement seeks to address any potential concerns that may be raised in regards to personal information and how it is stored, collected and disclosed.
COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Q.I.T.E. receive and store securely information provided to them through their customers. The main purpose of collecting this information from customers is to access the DEWR EA3000 system to determine eligibility, seek and refer suitable clientele to employment, contact referees to determine suitability for employment opportunities. Information can be collected for customers to undertake training offered by Q.I.T.E.. The information provided in the above areas will assist Q.I.T.E. to assess and approve the requests for employment and training opportunities.
Failure to provide full and complete information as requested may result in the use by Q.I.T.E. of inaccurate or out of date personal information. An ability to include your details in the services of Q.I.T.E., ensuring that they are kept up-to-date will allow you to fully access the services on offer by Q.I.T.E..
USE AND DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
The information that is provided to Q.I.T.E. together with any information that has been provided to Q.I.T.E. at any other time will be used by Q.I.T.E. to refer, confirm, provide and continue to improve its services to both internal and external customers of Q.I.T.E..
Q.I.T.E. may also use information that has been provided together with results of reference checks and any other information provided to Q.I.T.E. at point of registration or enrolment, for administrative, planning and reporting purposes in connection with the provision of employment and training services. This personal information may also be used in the preparation of statistics if required to do so by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS).
In addition information provided to Q.I.T.E. at point of registration or enrolment will be provided to other providers of employment and training services at the request of the customer. Q.I.T.E. may disclose personal information that is collected or otherwise obtained during the registration or enrolment period to State and Commonwealth Public Sector organisations and agencies.
Q.I.T.E. will not otherwise, without the customer’s consent, use or disclose personal information for any purpose unless it would reasonably be expected that such purpose is related to employment opportunities or the provision of training services.
Customers may at anytime request to access their personal information that has been collected or otherwise held or acquired by Q.I.T.E.. This request can be made through the Q.I.T.E.
